Welcome from our Vice Presidents
Greetings Colleagues and Friends,
Welcome to our September eNewsletter. Our National Executive met this week in Adelaide with Principals from around the country to hold our Annual General Meeting.
Our President, Brad Gaynor, is on leave, currently walking the footsteps of St Paul in Greece, and therefore we have the pleasure of bringing this newsletter to you.
As ACPPA continues to grow and develop, we continue to action our strategic priorities in ensuring that the work we do on your behalf is working towards a better system of support.
The theme of this year's conference is "Collaboration, Connection and Community". A fitting theme as we all work together to strengthen our sector by focussing closely on these areas which matter most in our daily work.
ACPPA is committed to be a truly representative and national association that supports every Catholic Primary Principal and we need your interest and input to keep growing.
Have a read of our newsletter and get in touch. We welcome your thoughts and comments.
Ros Oates and Peter Cutrona
ACPPA Vice Presidents
Earlier this week, prior to the 2019 APPA National Conference starting, many Principals gathered together at the Adelaide Convention centre in Adelaide to hold our AGM.
We thanked our financial and business partners and acknowledged them for their valued and significant support. We encourage you to click on their logos in the sidebar and explore what each of our partners have to offer.
A special mention this year was the significant Premium partnership ACPPA has entered with Australian Catholic Superannuation during the last 12 months.
An exciting part of our AGM was the celebration of 35 years of our Association. This milestone has been achieved due to the commitment and dedication of many Principals across the country volunteering their time to create a strong and robust Association for Catholic Primary Principals.
We have moved from strength to strength in the last few years and as a memento we distributed a special photo history booklet as a keepsake of this occasion. This will also be uploaded to our website soon.
If you would like a printed copy please email paul.colyer@acppa.catholic.edu.au
As is customary at an AGM, previous minutes were tabled along with the President's report and our Finance report, also Executive Officer and State and Territory reports.
A great evening had by all!
A joint SACPPA and ACPPA event took place during the 2019 APPA Conference this week.
After a wonderful combined Mass held at St Laurence's Church, the Catholic delegates from APPA went onto a cocktail function held at the Adelaide Oval.
On arrival we were greeted by a fantastic sign on the huge scoreboard courtesy of MSP Photograhpy and then a evening of great company, food and drinks.
As part of our evening we thanked our valued partners for their continued support as well as presenting a special plaque to our newest and Premium partner - Australian Catholic Superannuation, represented by Paul McGeachie.
A wonderful opprtunity to relax and enjoy the company of colleagues and friends.
